Dina Sokhn Hijazi

Dina Sokhn Hijazi, founder of Sokhn Law, serves families and individuals searching for a trusted ally in an immigration attorney. As the daughter of immigrants, Ms. Sokhn Hijazi understands first-hand how immigration can change lives for the better. Ms. Sokhn Hijazi has helped hundreds of individuals and families in the greater San Francisco area since founding the firm in 2005, earning her the respect and admiration of many satisfied clients.

Ms. Sokhn Hijazi received her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University. She has been admitted to the bar by the Supreme Court of California, U.S. District Court Northern District of California, U.S. District Court Eastern District of California, U.S. Court of Appeals For the Ninth Circuit, and the U.S. District Court Northern District of Florida. Ms. Sokhn Hijazi graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of San Francisco, where she earned a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a minor in Religious Studies.

Prior to founding Sokhn Law, Ms. Sokhn Hijazi served as an associate at an immigration firm in the San Francisco Bay Area where she not only represented immigration clients, she managed the firm's full criminal defense case load and led their Federal appellate department.

Ms. Sokhn Hijazi is active in the local community, participating in many pro bono and professional activities which enrich her passion for giving back to communities and causes in which she believes. An active member in the Santa Clara Valley chapter of American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), Ms. Sokhn Hijazi served as liaison to the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) office and as representative of the New Members' Division from 2010 through 2011. She also served as the coordinator for the 2010 AILA California Conference.

My name is Alexandra, I studied Law at Universidad Santiago de Cali, and I am currently based in Bogotá, Colombia. One of the things I value the most about my work is being able to support immigrants as they navigate such an important part of their lives. Helping people plan and build a safer and brighter future for themselves and their families is truly meaningful to me.

Maria Ortiz

Hello, my name is Maria Ortiz, and I am a Senior Paralegal at Sokhn Law Offices. I began working in immigration law in January 2020 and joined Sokhn Law Offices in April 2022, where I have had the privilege of working alongside Attorney Dina Sokhn and our dedicated team. Throughout my career, I have gained extensive knowledge of immigration law while also witnessing the resilience and inspiring journeys of our clients. I am grateful to have assisted many individuals in obtaining legal residency and U.S. citizenship.
